I would start the program on a weekend especially if you plan on doing the workout before going to work during the week so that you get a feel for the recovery time needed after a workout. It takes me about 30-45 minutes post workout to get going again. I don’t think I could do it before work. However, about an hour after the workout I feel great and have a tremendous amount of energy.
A quick note on the 2nd month – it really is tough. Just when you have gotten used to the first month’s workout, they switch it up on you. The workouts are about 15 minutes longer, and every minute of that extra time is spent driving you until you drop. I am just getting used to the pace, and actually it is very doable, but there is no way you can finish without being totally exhausted, with your clothes absolutely soaked with Insanity. Also, as many people have said, there is no way to do every rep of every exercise. Just do the best you can, and don’t sweat the rest. All in all, this product works exactly as advertised – great results, but you will have to work your a$$ of to get them.
Don’t ignore the value of a good pair of shoes. You spend a lot of time on your toes and in jumping positions. Running shoes generally support the heel so you may be better off in cross-training or basketball shoes. A lot of the moves actually remind me of football and basketball warm-ups.
